About the Role
Eloheem Mission Academy is a reputable Christian private school located in the Kofai ATC neighborhood of Jalingo, Taraba State, Nigeria. We are dedicated to delivering a balanced blend of academic excellence, godly character formation, and holistic student development. To support our mission and ensure a safe learning environment, we are currently seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our campus operations team.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor school premises, gates, and perimeters to prevent unauthorized access, theft, or vandalism.
- Manage the entry and exit of visitors, students, staff, and vehicles, ensuring proper documentation and security verification.
- Patrol school grounds regularly during day and night shifts to identify and address any security hazards or suspicious activities.
- Enforce school security policies and safety protocols consistently across the campus.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, alarms, or incidents, providing initial intervention and coordinating with local authorities if necessary.
- Maintain an accurate logbook of all security incidents, visitor details, and daily occurrences.
- Collaborate harmoniously with school administration, teachers, and staff to promote a secure and welcoming atmosphere.
- Minimum of a Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or equivalent professional security training certification.
- Proven prior experience working as a security officer, guard, or within a disciplined uniformed service will be an added advantage.
- Must possess high personal integrity, emotional intelligence, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact respectfully with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure and during emergency situations.
- Physical fitness and alertness required to handle active patrol duties and long hours.
- Residency in or familiarity with Jalingo, Taraba State, and surrounding neighborhoods is highly preferred.
