About the Role
Wexford College is a premium, co-educational private secondary institution providing comprehensive day and boarding options in Akure, Ondo State. Established in 2007, the college operates under the foundational motto of Intelligence, Integrity, and Industry, dedicating its curriculum to academic excellence, character development, and strategic leadership training. We are currently seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Manager to lead our campus security team and maintain a safe, secure environment conducive to learning and holistic growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and review comprehensive campus security policies, emergency response plans, and safety protocols for day and boarding facilities.
- Manage, train, and supervise the in-house security team and third-party security vendors to ensure optimal performance and vigilance.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and patrols across the Wexford College premises to identify and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities.
- Liaise effectively with local law enforcement agencies, community leaders, and emergency services to maintain a strong protective network.
- Investigate security breaches, incidents, or suspicious activities promptly and prepare detailed incident reports for school management.
- Organize safety awareness programs, fire drills, and security training workshops for students, teaching staff, and non-teaching personnel.
- Minimum of a First Degree or Higher National Diploma in Security Studies, Criminology, Law Enforcement, Military/Paramilitary background, or a related field.
- Proven professional experience of at least 5 to 7 years in a security management role, preferably within an educational institution or a structured corporate environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in physical security systems, CCTV monitoring, access control technologies, and crisis management.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and effectively.
