About the Role
Sumscript Schools, renowned as The Mathematics School in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, is seeking dedicated and vigilant Security Guards to join our campus safety team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining a secure, peaceful, and conducive learning environment for our early childhood and primary school pupils. We are looking for proactive individuals who take pride in physical security, access control, and safeguarding our school community.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, pupils, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Patrol school buildings and grounds regularly to check for disturbances, hazards, or suspicious activities.
- Enforce school security regulations, safety protocols, and access control policies effectively.
- Respond quickly to emergencies, alarms, or incidents, providing immediate assistance and notifying relevant school authorities or law enforcement.
- Maintain accurate logs of visitors, delivery personnel, and vehicular movement within the school premises.
- Collaborate with school management and staff to ensure a safe environment for all academic and extracurricular activities.
- Minimum of SSCE, NECO, or equivalent educational qualification.
- Proven professional experience working as a security guard, watchman, or in a similar safety role, preferably within an educational institution.
- Good physical fitness, alertness, and the ability to stand or patrol for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills in English and effective interpersonal abilities.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and punctuality with a clean background.
- Basic knowledge of emergency response, fire safety, and conflict resolution is an added advantage.
