About the Role
Desire British Standard School, a reputable Montessori institution located in Oghara, Delta State, is seeking a dedicated, alert, and trustworthy Security Guard to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a safe, secure, and orderly learning environment for our pupils, teachers, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and control pedestrian and vehicular access to the school premises at all times.
- Maintain a visitor log and ensure all unauthorized individuals are screened or denied entry.
- Conduct regular patrols around the school compound to deter and detect suspicious activities.
- Ensure school gates, doors, and windows are properly locked and secured after hours.
- Report any security breaches, safety hazards, or maintenance issues promptly to school management.
- Assist with traffic management during school drop-off and pick-up hours.
- Must be physically fit, alert, and security-conscious with strong observation skills.
- High level of discipline, punctuality, and proven trustworthiness.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and follow school regulations responsibly.
- Previous experience working as a security guard, particularly in an educational setting, is a strong advantage.
- Must be a resident of Oghara or willing to commute to the school location reliably.
