About the Role
George Houston Resources Limited (GHR) assists organizations to achieve their corporate visions and objectives through integrated, strategic, and solution-oriented HR consulting services using best-practice methodologies. We are currently seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team at the depot. In this role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding our facilities, vehicles, inventory, and employees by maintaining strict access control, conducting routine patrols, and responding effectively to any security concerns.
Key Responsibilities- Control access to the depot, meticulously verifying authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles before entry.
- Monitor the movement of batteries, company vehicles, and other valuable assets within the premises.
- Conduct regular, thorough security patrols around the facility to deter and detect potential threats.
- Identify and report suspicious activities, security breaches, or safety hazards immediately.
- Ensure all gates, doors, and designated security checkpoints remain properly locked and secured.
- Monitor compliance with internal security and safety protocols among staff and visitors.
- Provide critical support during emergency situations and evacuation procedures.
- Perform additional security-related duties as assigned by the Depot Manager or Management.
- Minimum of an SSCE or OND qualification.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and basic communication.
- Prior experience working as a security guard or in a similar role is a strong added advantage.
- Must possess strong observation skills and high levels of integrity and reliability.
- Physically fit and capable of standing or patrolling for extended periods.
