About the Role
Vitafoam Nigeria Plc, the country's leading producer of polyether foam products and furniture, is looking for a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team in Lagos. In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding our premises, employees, and assets, ensuring a secure and productive working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a high-visibility presence to deter illegal and inappropriate behavior
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security
- Secure all exits, doors, and windows after operational hours
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, perimeter, and facilities
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect any suspicious activities
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances promptly
- Write comprehensive reports on daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Security Guard or relevant position
- Strong working knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
- Familiarity with report writing and operating security surveillance systems
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills
- Trained in first aid and CPR is an added advantage
