About the Role
The Kids' Rock Arena School, a reputable day and boarding institution offering an enriching blend of Montessori, Early Years, and British curricula in Magbon, Badagry, Lagos, is currently seeking a reliable and proactive Security Guard. Key Responsibilities- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, students, and other vehicles to maintain security of the school premises.
- Conduct regular patrols of buildings, dormitories, perimeter fences, and gates during day and night shifts to prevent unauthorized access and potential hazards.
- Respond promptly to alarms and investigate disturbances or suspicious activities immediately.
- Maintain a comprehensive visitor logbook and manage the issuance of visitor identification tags.
- Enforce school security policies and safety protocols among staff, students, and visitors.
- Collaborate effectively with local law enforcement agencies and emergency services when necessary.
- Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or security breaches to school management immediately.
- Minimum of O'Level (SSCE) certification or equivalent professional security training.
- Proven work experience as a Security Guard, preferably within a school, boarding facility, or similar institutional environment.
- Possession of a valid security license or relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.
- Strong observation skills, physical fitness, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to work day or night shifts on a rotational roster basis.
