About the Role
The Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this vital role, you will help safeguard our facilities, maintain rigorous safety standards, and protect our valuable human and physical assets across our world-class manufacturing and operational sites.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular inspections and patrols of premises to ensure safety and compliance with company policies.
- Monitor property entrances, rigorously authorizing entry for approved personnel and vehicles.
- Identify and report suspicious behaviors, security breaches, or unusual incidents promptly.
- Secure all exits, doors, and windows to maintain the absolute integrity of the property.
- Oversee surveillance camera feeds, ensuring all designated areas are monitored effectively.
- Respond swiftly to alarms and security incidents, implementing appropriate emergency measures.
- Assist staff, visitors, and individuals requiring support or guidance on the premises.
- Compile and submit detailed reports of daily surveillance activities and incident logs.
- Minimum of an SSCE certificate.
- Must be a member of the local community.
- Good understanding of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
- Proven report writing experience combined with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding surveillance, observation, and self-defense skills.
- Trained in First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills.
