We are currently seeking a dynamic and organized Secondary School Librarian to join our vibrant team of educators and professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and organize the secondary school library and its physical and digital resources.
- Oversee school bookstore operations, including inventory management, sales tracking, record keeping, and stock replenishment.
- Assist students and teachers in accessing books, digital learning tools, and research materials.
- Maintain accurate circulation records for library loans, returns, bookstore inventory, and sales transactions.
- Proactively promote a vibrant reading culture and support students in developing essential information-literacy skills.
- Coordinate engaging library programs and educational activities that enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
- Recommend, evaluate, and acquire relevant library and bookstore resources aligned with the school curriculum.
- Maintain a conducive, orderly, and welcoming environment across both the library and bookstore facilities.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Library and Information Science, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous professional experience working as a school librarian, bookstore manager, or in a similar educational support role.
- Strong organizational, communication, record-keeping, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications, digital library systems, and inventory management software.
- Ability to engage effectively, patiently, and professionally with secondary school students and staff members.
- Basic knowledge of retail stock management and sales procedures is an added advantage.
