About the Role
Kuda is a full-service, app-based digital bank on a mission to make financial services accessible, affordable, and rewarding for Africans worldwide. As we scale our engineering organization, we are looking for a dynamic Scrum Master to champion agile principles and empower our cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional FinTech products.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, and Retrospectives for large cross-functional teams.
- Coach squad members and product owners on agile best practices, backlog prioritization, and capacity estimation.
- Proactively identify and resolve delivery blockers, dependencies, and cross-team bottlenecks to maintain high execution velocity.
- Partner with engineering leads and product managers to optimize workflows and map sprint goals to product roadmaps.
- Utilize delivery metrics such as velocity, burn-down trends, and DORA metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure agile processes accommodate necessary regulatory and security standards typical of financial systems.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in dynamic technology environments.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering value within high-growth scale-up companies, preferably in the FinTech sector.
- Extensive experience facilitating multi-disciplinary squads including engineers, QA, designers, and product managers.
- Deep expertise in Scrum, Kanban, and modern project tracking tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Strong grasp of software delivery metrics and modern software delivery practices like CI/CD.
