As a Scientific Officer I, you will play a crucial role in supporting our academic, research, and laboratory operations within a rapidly growing and dynamic university environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and oversee laboratory operations, equipment, and scientific research facilities within the university.
- Assist academic staff and students in conducting practical sessions, experiments, and advanced research projects.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, quality control standards, and regulatory guidelines in all scientific procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of laboratory inventories, chemical supplies, and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with faculty members to develop innovative approaches to healthcare service delivery and scientific training.
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and community outreach health initiatives as required.
- Possession of a relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific or allied health discipline from a recognized institution.
- Relevant professional qualifications and certifications applicable to the scientific or healthcare sector.
- Demonstrated competence, high level of integrity, and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong commitment to the academic objectives and core values of the Federal University of Allied Health Sciences, Enugu.
- Previous experience in a research or academic laboratory setting will be an added advantage.
