About the Role
Cedarville School, a premier Christian co-educational institution located in a serene estate in Akobo, Ibadan, is seeking an experienced and professional School Bus Driver. We are committed to nurturing the total child morally, academically, psychologically, and spiritually, and our transport team plays an essential role in ensuring students begin and end their school days safely and punctually.
Key Responsibilities- Transport students safely along designated routes to and from Cedarville School daily.
- Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to check fuel, oil, tire pressure, and mechanical systems.
- Adhere strictly to all Nigerian traffic laws, road safety regulations, and school transport policies.
- Maintain discipline and a safe environment among students while on board the bus.
- Keep the school vehicle clean, tidy, and report any mechanical faults or maintenance needs promptly to management.
- Maintain accurate logs of daily trips, student attendance, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Valid and current Nigerian driver's license with the appropriate commercial or professional driving endorsement.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience, preferably transporting school children.
- Clean driving record with no history of major traffic violations or accidents.
- Deep familiarity with routes and roads within Ibadan, particularly the Akobo area and environs.
- Exceptional defensive driving skills, patience, and a high sense of responsibility.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly attitude towards children and parents.
