About the Role
Dream Park Montessori School is an esteemed Islamic-centered citadel of learning located in Surulere, Lagos State, Nigeria. We are dedicated to providing a safe, happy, caring, and supportive environment where children can thrive academically, morally, and socially. We are currently seeking a reliable, vigilant, and compassionate School Bus Chaperone to join our transport team and ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students during their daily commutes.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the physical safety, security, and orderly behavior of all students while boarding, riding, and disembarking from the school bus.
- Assist younger children with fastening their seatbelts, securely storing their backpacks, and stepping on and off the bus safely.
- Maintain proper attendance records of students on board to ensure all children are accounted for during trips.
- Collaborate effectively with the school bus driver to monitor traffic conditions, navigate routes, and address any transit issues promptly.
- Enforce school transport rules and code of conduct consistently, promoting a calm and respectful atmosphere.
- Communicate any student behavioral concerns, health incidents, or transport delays to school management and parents immediately.
- Minimum of a Senior School Certificate (SSCE) or relevant educational qualification.
- Proven previous experience working as a school bus monitor, chaperone, childcare provider, or in a similar role.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and crowd-control skills.
- Demonstrated patience, reliability, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Familiarity with Surulere and surrounding routes in Lagos State is a distinct advantage.
