About the Role
We are seeking an energetic, customer-focused Sales & Shop Operations Assistant to join our dynamic healthy foods store. In this multifaceted role, you will combine front-of-house customer service with back-of-house food preparation and shop management. No prior experience is necessary—we provide complete on-the-job training for the right candidate who demonstrates enthusiasm, reliability, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional service.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Sales
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products
- Process orders and payments accurately and efficiently
- Explain product features, ingredients, pricing, and options clearly
- Handle complaints professionally and escalate when necessary
- Maintain a welcoming store atmosphere
Online Customer Management
- Respond promptly to WhatsApp, Instagram, and social media enquiries
- Confirm orders and provide accurate product information online
- Follow up with customers and convert enquiries into sales
- Communicate professionally across all digital platforms
Shop Operations
- Monitor inventory and alert management to low stock levels
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and attractive product displays
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Keep basic sales and stock records
Food Preparation Support
- Assist with granola, Greek yogurt, fresh juices, and dried pineapple preparation
- Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and food safety standards
- Maintain preparation area hygiene
- No experience required; comprehensive training provided
- Friendly, polite, and excellent communication skills
- Comfortable using WhatsApp, social media, and smartphones
- Organized, reliable, and punctual with strong multitasking abilities
- Excellent personal hygiene and professional appearance
- Strong team player with ability to work independently
- Honest, trustworthy, and customer-focused mindset
- Willingness to learn food handling and retail procedures
- Previous sales, retail, or food production experience is advantageous
