About the Role

With over 8 years of industry experience and a proven track record of delivering successful projects and exceeding client expectations, we are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Officer to champion our health and safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and monitor comprehensive health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures across all engineering project sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify potential hazards, unsafe acts, or operational non-compliance.
- Organize and facilitate regular safety toolbox talks, induction training, and specialized HSE workshops for all personnel and contractors.
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, or near-misses thoroughly and compile detailed root-cause analysis reports with corrective actions.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian health and safety statutory regulations, industry standards, and company guidelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of safety records, equipment certifications, and incident logs.
- Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of cognate experience in a safety role within the oil, gas, or heavy engineering sectors.
- Relevant professional certifications such as NEBOSH, HSE Level 3, or equivalent recognized safety credentials.
- Demonstrated knowledge of local and international safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to enforce safety protocols firmly and fairly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and safety management reporting software.
