About the Role
Payzeep is a leading fintech platform empowering individuals, SMEs, and organizations to seamlessly make, receive, and process payments. We are currently looking for a skilled and dedicated POS Engineer to oversee field operations, terminal lifecycle management, and payment integrations while ensuring strict compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Manage POS terminal deployment, lifecycle operations, terminal parameterization, and vendor relationships.
- Troubleshoot complex ISO 8583 messaging standards, card transaction flows, and EMV chip-card processing issues.
- Analyze transaction logs, request/response messages, reversals, and settlement reconciliations across payment switches and acquirers.
- Ensure all POS operations comply with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) regulations, NDPA, AML/CFT, and KYC guidelines.
- Collaborate with Operations, Technology, Risk, and Finance teams to enhance the overall POS product offering.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of total relevant experience, with at least 4 years supporting fintech, banking, or transaction-processing systems.
- Deep expertise in payment switching, POS acquiring models, EMV standards, and ISO 8583 messaging.
