About the Role

The Safety Dojo Training Coordinator plays a vital role in planning, scheduling, and coordinating comprehensive safety training activities delivered in our Safety Dojo Room. You will ensure all sessions are meticulously prepared, properly documented, and fully aligned with site HSE requirements and operational priorities. This position supports both trainers and learners by managing logistics, training records, learning materials, and driving continuous improvement actions that strengthen safe behaviors and reduce workplace risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate day-to-day operations of the Safety Dojo Room, including room readiness, equipment availability, and housekeeping standards
  • Maintain and manage the training calendar, schedule sessions, and coordinate with departments to optimize learner participation
  • Support facilitators with session logistics including sign-in sheets, assessment tools, and practical demonstrations
  • Ensure training content and materials are current, controlled, and aligned with company HSE standards and applicable regulations
  • Manage comprehensive training documentation including attendance, assessments, competency signoffs, and attendance registers for all sites
  • Prepare and circulate training communications such as announcements, joining instructions, and feedback reminders
  • Collect, analyze training feedback, and raise improvement actions to support dojo module updates
  • Support onboarding safety inductions for contractor personnel including Golden Rules and mandatory training programs
  • Coordinate site-specific safety training requirements including inductions, site rules, and permits-to-work awareness
  • Ensure the dojo environment complies with all safety requirements and emergency procedures

Qualifications
  • OND/HND/BSc in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 3–5 years of HSE experience in oil and gas operations, training program coordination, and HSE administration
  • Familiarity with HSE management systems, safe work procedures, and mandatory training requirements
  • Proficiency with SharePoint, Excel trackers, or similar recordkeeping systems
  • Professional HSE or training certifications advantageous (NEBOSH/IOSH or local equivalents)
  • Strong planning, scheduling, and coordination skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
