About the Role
Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited, a prominent independent Nigerian energy firm, is looking for a dynamic and seasoned Principal Offshore Structural Engineer to join our thriving team. In this pivotal role, you will provide critical technical input and assurance across all project phases—from conceptual design, FEED, and detailed design to procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning—safeguarding the operational and technical integrity of our shallow offshore assets.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all Civil and Structures Offshore (CSO) engineering activities and deliverables for the HA/HB-Buko Projects.
- Ensure compliance with international standards, HSSE frameworks, project objectives, and contractual requirements during procurement, fabrication, and construction.
- Define structural scopes of work, specifications, and ITT packages, applying systems engineering best practices.
- Perform complex technical studies, structural analysis, and foundation design using SACS and other industry-standard software.
- Provide technical assurance for FEED and detailed design deliverables while driving innovative, cost-effective solutions.
- Manage multi-disciplinary technical interfaces, stakeholder relations, and technical risks, including deviations from standards.
- Participate actively in safety workshops and value assurance events such as HAZID, HAZOPs, and peer reviews.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 14 years of relevant structural engineering experience within the oil and gas industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in offshore platforms, FPSOs, or onshore terminal projects.
- Advanced proficiency in using SACS software for offshore structure design.
- Comprehensive knowledge of international engineering standards, HSSE frameworks, and geotechnical investigation scopes.
