About the Role
Join Zigma Limited as a Risk Management Specialist and play a pivotal role in safeguarding our major projects across Nigeria's petroleum and petrochemical landscape. This position is critical to our mission of building an integrated portfolio of assets while delivering exceptional value to stakeholders. You will coordinate between Major Projects and internal entities, ensuring alignment of priorities and successful project execution through comprehensive risk management strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Represent and coordinate between Major Projects and key departments including QA, Engineering, HSE, Drilling, and others
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop contingency plans for project-related challenges
- Identify, analyze, and propose mitigation solutions for interface issues and emerging project risks
- Support project managers in implementing and monitoring risk management plans
- Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for project risk management
- Monitor and report on risk exposure and burndown trends through qualitative and trend-based analysis
- Utilize Project Definition Rating Index to identify milestones and manage scope changes
- Support audits, quality assurance reviews, and continuous methodology improvements
- Gather and share lessons learned with contractors and stakeholders for continuous improvement
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in oil and gas sector with expertise in onshore, offshore, and deep offshore operations
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, SAP, Primavera P6 (Monte Carlo simulation), and Safran software
- Strong technical background in petroleum operations and project management
- PMBOK, PMP, Kaizen, or Lean Management certification preferred
- Proven track record in risk management within complex project environments
