About the Role
Dangote Group, Africa's leading industrial conglomerate, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Central Control Room (CCR) Operator to join our state-of-the-art cement manufacturing operations in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will oversee the production line from the control room to ensure precision, safety, and compliance with stringent environmental regulations, contributing directly to our mission of providing basic needs and building local manufacturing capacity across the continent.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor various sections of the production line from the Central Control Room to ensure precision and adherence to cement production standards.
- Provide real-time information, guidance, and direction to field patrollers, operators, and shift coordinators based on monitored operations.
- Control plant process lines to guarantee stable equipment operation, absolute employee safety, and strict compliance with environmental regulations.
- Log process data at specified intervals, meticulously document activities, and generate clear, concise operational reports.
- Ensure the smooth operation of crushers, raw mills, kilns, and cement mills by providing constant feedback for field execution.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot potential operating problems independently or in consultation with engineers and shift coordinators.
- Supervise casual staff to maintain clean conveyor belts and prevent unit jamming while driving the achievement of daily shift production targets.
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemical Engineering, Processing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant working experience in a CCR operating role within the cement manufacturing or heavy processing industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in plant automation systems and troubleshooting complex industrial machinery.
