About the Role
Transkredit Finance Company, a CBN-authorized and regulated financial services provider specializing in credit processing, fund management, and payment systems, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Risk Management Officer. In this pivotal role, you will lead our enterprise-wide risk management function, ensuring that our business strategies align with robust risk frameworks while maximizing stakeholder value and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement proactive processes for gathering operational risk loss events data and key risk indicators organization-wide.
- Provide overall leadership for the enterprise-risk management function, supporting the Board of Directors, Board committees, and Managing Director.
- Design, review, and recommend risk management operating policies, procedures, charters, and frameworks for approval.
- Ensure the evaluation of design and operating effectiveness of risk controls across all products, processes, and outsourcing activities including SLAs.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the organization and regulators for risk management and compliance issues.
- Analyze, design, and develop business continuity and disaster recovery strategies for critical business functions.
- Promote a strong risk-awareness culture across the organization through continuous training, communication, and performance management integration.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of cognate experience in risk management within the financial services sector.
- A relevant degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
- Comprehensive understanding of current risk management methodologies, regulatory requirements, and global best practices.
