We are currently seeking a dynamic Risk & Loss Prevention Engineer / Specialist II to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe and effective execution of engineering and design activities, maintaining strict compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and provide expert technical input on discipline engineering work executed by internal teams, contractors, and sub-contractors.
  • Support seamless engineering execution aligned with overarching project goals, objectives, and internal procedures.
  • Participate in or lead critical risk studies and consequence analyses, including advanced toxic gas dispersion modelling.
  • Develop, review, and continuously update comprehensive safety standards, instructions, and engineering codes.
  • Formalize essential safety requirements into well-documented and actionable company practices.
  • Facilitate transparent communication regarding engineering activities, milestones, and roadblocks across the project team.
  • Apply strong technical, interpersonal, and facilitation skills to thrive in a fast-paced project environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience in a related technical discipline.
  • Proven professional experience in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and specialized Loss Prevention.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant engineering design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria.
  • Demonstrated experience participating in or leading risk studies and consequence analysis is a strong advantage.
  • Exceptional ability to manage tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequently changing project priorities.
  • High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite for technical reporting and data organization.
  • Fluent in English with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
