We are currently looking for a diligent and analytical Risk & Compliance Officer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in safeguarding our business and investor interests by identifying operational risks, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards across our diverse portfolios.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, assess, document, and monitor financial, operational, and regulatory risks across the Group.
- Develop and maintain robust risk management frameworks, internal control policies, and compliance procedures.
- Review business processes, monitor transactions, and recommend appropriate internal controls to minimize losses.
- Support risk management initiatives concerning vehicle financing, asset management, investor funds, and driver operations.
- Conduct internal audits, investigate control weaknesses, and maintain an up-to-date risk register.
- Prepare comprehensive periodic risk reports and assist with regulatory inspections and audits.
- Deliver compliance training to employees and conduct due diligence on third-party vendors.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Law, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in risk management, compliance, or internal audit within financial services or related industries.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Nigerian regulatory environment and corporate governance principles.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analytical tools.
- Relevant professional certifications such as ICAN, CISI, or equivalent risk qualifications are a distinct advantage.
