About the Role
Infratel Africa is a leading telecommunication infrastructure service provider in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa, delivering world-class RAN, backhaul, and power-as-a-service solutions. We are currently looking for a talented and driven RF Engineer to join our expanding engineering team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in planning, optimizing, and maintaining radio access network performance across various technologies to ensure exceptional service delivery and reliable connectivity for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform end-to-end RF planning and coverage predictions for new site deployments and network expansions.
- Monitor daily network KPIs, analyze OSS performance statistics, and investigate service degradations.
- Optimize GSM and LTE network coverage, quality, accessibility, retainability, and throughput.
- Analyze drive test logs and resolve issues related to dropped calls, poor throughput, and coverage holes.
- Participate in Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and validate antenna installations against design specifications.
- Collaborate with OEMs and field teams to implement recommended parameter changes and execute expansion plans.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in RF planning and optimization within the telecommunications industry.
- Proficiency in working with GSM and LTE networks, with rural network deployment experience as an added advantage.
- Strong technical expertise in using network analysis tools such as Google Earth, Huawei M2000/U2020, Baicells OMC, VANU OSS, and Power BI.
