About the Role
IOTA Group, a leading Swiss human resources and technical assistance provider, is seeking a qualified Responsible for Safety and Environment on Site - Delegate (RSES-D) for an exciting energy infrastructure project in Bonny, Nigeria. In this critical site-based role, you will act as the Project Manager's representative, ensuring that all construction, commissioning, and SIMOPS activities adhere to the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental protection. This is an exceptional opportunity for an HSE and construction professional to make a significant impact on a major international project.
Key Responsibilities- Exercise delegated RSES authority to ensure site activities comply with HSE rules, procedures, and technical references.
- Manage the Permit to Work (PTW) system, assess SIMOPS risks, and authorize work only when appropriate risk controls are active.
- Stop or suspend any unsafe activity that threatens personnel, facilities, or the environment.
- Oversee Temporary Construction Camp (TCC) security, management, and personnel on board (POB) control.
- Enforce Company Golden Rules, maintain anomaly reporting targets, and monitor the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
- Coordinate construction interfaces between contractors, engineering, procurement, and commissioning teams.
- Monitor physical progress, review contractor reports, track working hours, and manage project schedules and budgets.
- Proven professional experience in Brownfield and SIMOPS energy or infrastructure projects.
- Strong HSE leadership, with demonstrated authority to halt unsafe operations.
- Excellent understanding of engineering documents, technical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional coordination, interface management, and risk anticipation skills.
- Strong capability in progress reporting, schedule monitoring, and contractor management.
