About the Role
Promasidor, the renowned multinational FMCG company behind iconic brands like Cowbell, is seeking a talented R&D Supervisor - Instrumentation & Sensory Analyst to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will lead day-to-day management of the R&D laboratory's analytical instrumentation and spearhead our sensory evaluation programmes to drive new product development, quality assessment, and cost-optimisation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, calibrate, and maintain advanced R&D laboratory instruments including HPLC, rheometers, and spectrophotometers to ensure precise analytical results.
- Design, plan, and execute rigorous sensory evaluation programmes, managing internal panels and consumer testing initiatives.
- Lead product profiling, bench work, and pilot-scale plant trials for new product development and existing product optimization.
- Supervise, coach, and develop laboratory technicians and sensory panellists while strictly enforcing HSE and 5S standards.
- Ensure all testing activities comply with NAFDAC, SON, HACCP, and international quality standards.
- Bachelor's degree (BSc/HND) in Food Science & Technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant laboratory experience within the food, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing sector.
- Proven expertise in analytical instrumentation management and recognised sensory testing methodologies.
