Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Reporter at News Central TV, you will play a crucial role in gathering, verifying, and presenting news stories that matter. Your daily duties will include:
- Conducting thorough and objective research and investigative work on critical socio-economic and political issues.
- Developing and pitching compelling story ideas that align with the channel's mission to amplify diverse voices.
- Enhancing storytelling techniques through engaging scriptwriting, compelling visuals, and dynamic on-air delivery.
- Collaborating seamlessly with producers, editors, and camera crews within fast-paced newsroom workflows.
- Conducting interviews with key newsmakers, experts, and everyday citizens to uncover fresh perspectives.
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following requirements:
- Strong research and investigative skills with a proven ability to uncover facts and verify sources.
- Demonstrated ability to enhance storytelling and communicate complex issues clearly and engagingly.
- Solid understanding of modern newsroom workflows and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
- A degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or a related field.
- Previous experience in broadcast journalism or digital media reporting within the Nigerian media landscape.
