Godfrey Okoye University Teaching Hospital (GOUNITH), formerly Ntasi Obi Hospital, is a premier university teaching hospital dedicated to medical excellence, compassionate patient care, and innovative research. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Renal Physiologist to join our state-of-the-art Dialysis Unit in Enugu, Nigeria. In this vital role, you will apply your expertise in human physiology to support renal care management, working alongside leading healthcare professionals in a vibrant, academic-medical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and assess patients undergoing dialysis treatments within the unit.
- Perform specialized physiological measurements and evaluate renal function.
- Collaborate with nephrologists, nurses, and other multidisciplinary healthcare team members to develop comprehensive patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital safety and clinical standards.
- Participate in clinical research, educational programs, and continuous professional development initiatives.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot specialized dialysis and physiological monitoring equipment.
- B.Sc in Human Physiology from a recognized institution.
- Must possess a valid practicing license from the relevant professional regulatory body.
- Must provide a valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
- Demonstrated relevant post-qualification experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Strong integrity, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
