About the Role
American Christian Academy (ACA) is a leading Christian international K-12 school in Ibadan, Nigeria, dedicated to academic excellence, character development, and holistic education. We are currently seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and clinically experienced Relief Residential Nurse to provide nursing coverage and ensure the continuity of healthcare services for students in our residential programme.
Key Responsibilities- Provide reliable nursing coverage and health assessments for residential students during assigned relief periods, specifically Saturday evenings to Monday mornings.
- Administer prescribed medications, manage first aid, and provide appropriate care for minor illnesses and injuries.
- Maintain accurate, confidential medical records of all student visits, treatments, and follow-up care.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies, supporting crisis intervention and student safety protocols.
- Monitor and promote public health measures, including communicable disease prevention, hygiene, and healthy lifestyle guidance.
- Collaborate closely with school nurses, residential staff, and leadership, ensuring thorough handovers and continuity of care.
- Must be a Registered and Certified Nurse with valid, up-to-date professional credentials.
- Proven clinical nursing experience, with prior experience in schools or residential childcare being a strong advantage.
- Must publicly profess faith in Jesus Christ and demonstrate a Christian lifestyle aligned with ACA values.
- Strong emergency response, first aid, assessment, and record-keeping skills.
- Must currently reside in Ibadan, Oyo State, as applicants outside Ibadan cannot be considered.
- Flexibility to cover scheduled weekend and shift-based duties as required.
