About the Role
Egbin Power Plc, located in Lagos, is the largest single generating power station in Sub-Saharan Africa, committed to meeting the rising electricity demands of Nigeria. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Reliability and Performance Engineer (Mechanical) to apply risk-based reliability processes, enhance plant performance, and safeguard the commercial health of our power generation assets.
Key Responsibilities- Perform engineering risk evaluations of existing infrastructure and assess asset condition against asset management strategies.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures, incidents, and system abnormalities to develop effective corrective actions.
- Execute Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and develop comprehensive technical risk management plans.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and Integrated Management System standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
- Monitor legal, regulatory, and technical requirements to guarantee safe and efficient plant operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain an accurate technical risk register and reliability framework.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in power utilities, hydrocarbon exploration, or asset-intensive industries, with at least 5 years dedicated to Risk and Reliability Engineering.
- Relevant independent certification or training in Risk and Reliability Engineering (e.g., CMRP, IRM).
- Strong expertise in maintenance, operations, design engineering, asset integrity, and technical assurance.
