About the Role
EdFin Microfinance Bank was birthed out of the need for quality education in Nigeria. Dedicated solely to funding the education ecosystem, our bank aims to positively disrupt the standard and quality of education by providing much-needed financial resources and services. We are currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven Relationship Officer to join our growing team and help expand our reach within the assigned communities.
Key Responsibilities- Promote bank products, identify potential clients, and originate new loan accounts rapidly to meet assigned portfolio targets.
- Conduct thorough loan evaluations, including business site visits, financial analysis, and verification of applicant information before presenting to the credit committee.
- Participate actively as a credit committee member by evaluating and presenting loan proposals.
- Provide high-quality customer service by building strong relationships, monitoring business progress, and offering relevant business suggestions.
- Manage and recover late repayments proactively to maintain healthy portfolio-at-risk and loan-loss targets.
- Build strong community rapport by networking with business associations and local leaders to establish the bank's presence.
- Minimum of HND or BSc in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
- Must have successfully completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
- Strong understanding of the local target area and ability to assess the character and repayment capacity of clients.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and computer literacy skills.
- High level of integrity, honesty, and ability to work independently.
- Previous experience in credit or financial services is an added advantage.
