About the Role
Hosanna Nursing and Maternity Home, located in Obe along Sapele Road, Benin City, is dedicated to providing compassionate, accessible, and high-quality healthcare services for individuals and families. We are currently seeking a skilled and empathetic Registered Nurse / Midwife to join our clinical team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting women through pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal care, while promoting overall family health and wellness in a supportive community clinic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor the health and progress of pregnant women and their unborn babies throughout all stages of gestation.
- Provide comprehensive care during labor and delivery, including safely delivering babies and offering continuous emotional support.
- Administer postnatal care for mothers and newborns, ensuring healthy recovery and development.
- Educate patients, partners, and families on reproductive health, antenatal preparation, parenting, and ongoing medical conditions.
- Conduct physical examinations, take vital signs, record medical histories, and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Implement physician orders, perform treatments, start IV lines, and administer medications safely.
- Maintain accurate medical records, supervise healthcare assistants, and ensure a hygienic, safe clinical environment.
- Must be a registered and licensed Nurse and Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
- Proven professional experience working as a clinical Nurse and Midwife.
- Strong clinical assessment, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
