About the Role
Imo Robotic Surgery and Oncology Centre Limited is a pioneering, state-of-the-art medical institution established through a strategic Public-Private Partnership with the Imo State Government. Located at the Imo State Specialist Hospital in Umuguma, Owerri, our centre is poised to become West Africa's premier hub for advanced minimally invasive surgery and comprehensive cancer care. We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team and contribute to exceptional clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive, high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing robotic surgery and oncology treatments.
- Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and manage intravenous lines with precision.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, oncologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families regarding pre-operative and post-operative procedures, pain management, and home care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records in compliance with hospital standards.
- Ensure adherence to strict infection control protocols and maintain a safe, sterile clinical environment.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Registered Nurse (RN) certification from a recognized institution.
- Valid and current practicing license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in surgical, oncology, or critical care settings.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure medical environments.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and empathetic patient-care skills.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are highly advantageous.
