About the Role
CBRE Excellerate, the market leader in commercial real estate services, is looking for a dynamic Regional Technical Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will act as the primary technical authority for our Integrated Facilities Management engagement, bridging our delivery teams and the client's engineering organization across multiple countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the single point of contact for all technical matters, driving end-to-end incident resolution and problem management.
- Lead technical assessments, change management, and sign-offs for critical engineering systems, power infrastructure, and data environments.
- Collaborate closely with the client engineering team, ensuring alignment with global standards and contractual obligations.
- Provide rigorous technical oversight and validation for quotes, scopes of work, and deliverables from third-party contractors and specialist vendors.
- Maintain the technical integrity of critical assets, supporting lifecycle planning, capital expenditure justifications, and regulatory compliance.
- Produce comprehensive technical reports and participate in stakeholder meetings in both English and French.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering; post-graduate qualifications in Facilities or Engineering Management are a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in technical facilities management or critical systems engineering across Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Full professional bilingual fluency in both French and English, with the ability to negotiate and report seamlessly in both languages.
- Extensive practical understanding of critical infrastructure, including UPS systems, generators, HV/LV switchgear, HVAC, and fire life safety systems.
- Proven ability to manage multi-site operations, particularly within Francophone African markets.
