About the Role
Jaza Energy, the last-mile energy company building solar charging stations and renting batteries in off-grid communities, is seeking a dynamic Regional Service Engineer (RSE) based in Oyo, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will manage a team of Field Service Engineers, oversee technical operations, and ensure uninterrupted power and optimal energy uptime across our regional hubs.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee Field Service Engineers (FSEs) in setting up new solar hubs, ensuring seamless connectivity, and conducting regular maintenance.
- Lead and coach FSEs on industry best practices through regular training and professional development initiatives.
- Direct troubleshooting, repairs, and technical issue resolution to maximize energy availability and system performance.
- Collaborate with Jaza Stars, Regional Coordinators, the NOC data team, and FSEs to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Collate monthly performance review reports on power availability and hub energy metrics for management.
- Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, and environment (HSE) standards across all sites.
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on technical and engineering leadership experience in the solar, energy, telecommunications, or related industries.
- Strong proven expertise in solar installation, electrical design, and maintenance systems, prioritizing practical experience over specific degrees.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and reporting software, including the MS Office suite.
- Willingness to travel significantly across Nigeria to support our expanding South-West operations.
