About the Role
Jaza Energy, the last mile energy company building solar charging stations and renting batteries in off-grid communities, is seeking a dynamic Regional Service Engineer (RSE) for Ogun State and the wider South-West region. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of Field Service Engineers (FSEs), manage regional technical operations, and ensure uninterrupted power and optimal energy uptime across all our solar hubs. This role requires frequent travel within Nigeria as we rapidly expand our footprint to bring clean, reliable energy to off-grid areas.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and direct Field Service Engineers in the setup, connectivity, and maintenance of new and existing solar energy hubs.
- Lead, coach, and mentor FSEs through regular training and professional development initiatives to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with Jaza Stars, Regional Coordinators, the NOC data team, and FSEs to quickly diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Review FSE technical reports, collate comprehensive monthly performance reports, and present power availability metrics to management and the Technical Manager.
- Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards across all operational sites.
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on technical and engineering leadership experience within the solar, telecommunications, or energy sector.
- Extensive proven expertise in solar installation and maintenance, electrical design, and electrical systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach using MS Office suite and reporting tools.
