About the Role
Airtel Africa is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Manager, Agency & Merchants (North-West) for Smartcash PSB to lead our aggressive business growth and merchant acquisition strategies. In this critical leadership role, you will spearhead market penetration, drive revenue objectives, and build strategic partnerships across the North-West region of Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Drive revenue targets and state-level business growth by identifying, engaging, and onboarding new merchants for payment processing services.
- Analyze merchant performance metrics to optimize acquisition strategies and ensure full achievement of new merchant targets.
- Negotiate competitive contract terms and pricing with potential merchants while ensuring strict compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, and product development teams to execute impactful promotional campaigns and channel branding in line with company standards.
- Manage POS materials stock and coordinate effective deployment across warehouses and field operations.
- Conduct continuous market research and competitor intelligence reporting to proactively address market threats and identify new business opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Marketing, Business Management, Engineering, or Computer Science (MBA or project management certification is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 8 years of commercial and business management experience, including at least 3 years in product management or the fintech industry.
