About the Role
The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) invites exceptional, results-driven leaders to apply for the Regional Hub Director position. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead our newly restructured Regional Growth Hubs, ensuring operational excellence, strategic business development, and transformative development impacts across assigned regional member countries. You will champion regional integration, accelerate private sector investments, and foster critical partnerships with government and financial institutions to fight poverty and improve living standards throughout Africa.
Key Responsibilities- Drive operational efficiency, effectiveness, and portfolio health across the assigned region to achieve significant developmental impacts.
- Spearhead regional business development, investment initiatives, and resource mobilization to significantly grow the Bank's footprint.
- Build and lead high-performing, motivated multidisciplinary teams to deliver top-tier project portfolios.
- Advance regional integration by executing major infrastructure projects and supporting Regional Economic Communities.
- Foster strong strategic partnerships with bilateral, multilateral, public, and private sector stakeholders to accelerate co-financing and investments.
- Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Business Law, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in international development finance or a leading private sector financial institution, with at least 8 years at a senior management level.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering complex projects, managing large portfolios, and driving successful change management.
- Exceptional negotiation, strategic thinking, and leadership skills with the ability to engage effectively at the highest levels.
- Proficiency in English or French; working knowledge of the other is highly desirable.
