Key Responsibilities- Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance with approved project HSE plans, procedures, and statutory safety standards.
- Conduct rigorous site HSE inspections, audits, and surveillance, ensuring timely follow-up and closure of corrective actions.
- Review contractor method statements, Job Risk Assessments (JRA), and other critical HSE documentation prior to activity commencement.
- Ensure a valid Permit to Work (PTW) is active and strictly adhered to before any hazardous site operations begin.
- Identify unsafe acts or conditions immediately and initiate STOP CARD interventions to mitigate potential hazards.
- Support comprehensive incident and accident investigations and monitor the effective implementation of corrective measures.
- Supervise emergency preparedness protocols, safety drills, first-aid facilities, and general site safety requirements.
- Conduct engaging HSE inductions and promote continuous safety awareness among all project personnel and contractors.
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary HSE meetings, safety studies, and regular site walkthroughs.
- Maintain accurate anomaly and action-tracking records while preparing detailed HSE performance reports.
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or equivalent in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Must possess a recognized and certified HSE qualification.
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in oil and gas production projects, construction, infrastructure, or comparable industrial environments.
- Demonstrated knowledge of PTW systems, risk assessment, JRA, method statement review, and site HSE surveillance.
- Familiarity with incident investigation techniques, emergency response drills, and corrective-action tracking mechanisms.
- Proficiency in productivity tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, planning, organizational, and technical reporting skills.
