About the Role
Sun King is the world's leading off-grid solar energy company, providing reliable power to over 82 million customers across Africa and Asia. We are currently looking for a passionate, analytical, and results-driven Regional Collections Manager to join our Risk department in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, to optimize regional portfolio performance and repayment strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze regional portfolio and repayment trends to design daily, weekly, and monthly collection strategies for delinquent customers.
- Conduct mystery market visits and field assessments to evaluate sales quality and gather actionable customer insights.
- Collaborate with Area Business Managers and Field Sales Executives to manage product repossessions and resolve complex collection issues.
- Identify, report, and facilitate actions against fraudulent practices such as product tampering and misinformed sales.
- Train Field Sales Executives and agents on effective repossession techniques and difficult customer negotiation strategies.
- Recruit and establish cash collection centers to streamline payment processes across key operational areas within the assigned territory.
- Provide regular updates and reports to zonal credit analysts regarding field interventions, collection rates, and customer feedback.
- Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma in Finance, Community Development, Communication, Credit Risk Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in credit collections, debt recovery, or risk management, preferably within microfinance, fintech, or the banking sector.
- Demonstrated field experience in collaborating with rural or semi-urban customer settlements.
- Strong logical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Clear and effective communication skills with fluency in English and the primary local language of the assigned territory.
- High familiarity with the geography and cultural dynamics of Ogun East.
