About the Role
Sun King is the world's leading off-grid solar energy company, providing reliable power to over 82 million customers across Africa and Asia. We are currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven Refurbishment Line Manager to lead our end-to-end refurbishment operations in our Lagos facilities. In this vital role, you will ensure that returned and recovered solar products are efficiently assessed, repaired, graded, and restored to pristine saleable condition while maintaining full inventory accountability.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and oversee daily refurbishment line operations, production targets, and turnaround time KPIs across multiple locations.
- Manage end-to-end inventory for spare parts, refurbished goods, and field returns, conducting regular audits and minimizing stock discrepancies.
- Lead, develop, and mentor a technical team of refurbishment technicians and quality inspectors in a safety-first environment.
- Implement rigorous quality control standards, root-cause defect analysis, and product grading frameworks.
- Drive continuous process improvement to reduce waste, lower refurbishment costs, and ensure compliance with environmental and e-waste regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in refurbishment, manufacturing, or repair operations, with proven success in managing technical production lines.
- Solid knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical wiring standards, and power electronics.
- Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, spare parts forecasting, and stock control processes.
