About the Role
Tropical General Investments (TGI) Group is seeking a skilled and dedicated Refinery Operator to join our dynamic operations in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in our fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, focusing on the production of high-quality culinary and food products. You will utilize advanced computerized and manual control systems to manage refining, neutralization, bleaching, and deodorization processes, ensuring optimal plant performance and adherence to strict safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and control plant production processes utilizing both computerized and manual control systems.
- Operate refining, neutralization, bleaching, and deodorization production processes efficiently.
- Manage equipment for vacuum, pressure, distillation, heat exchangers, filtration, and centrifuge separation based on product specifications.
- Ensure proper line-up for unit production and maintain rated plant capacity with minimal losses.
- Safely collect product samples to proactively identify quality issues and communicate field conditions to relevant personnel.
- Troubleshoot equipment and production processes promptly to meet established plant standards.
- Possess an SSCE, National Diploma (ND), or a degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience working as a refinery operator in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Strong working knowledge of by-product processing, including acid oil and lecithin.
