We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Refinery Lead to spearhead our downstream petroleum operations in Nigeria, ensuring optimal productivity, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Direct daily refinery processes, encompassing crude oil distillation, product blending, and rigorous quality assurance protocols.
- Ensure strict adherence to Nigerian oil and gas regulatory standards, environmental laws, and international best practices.
- Supervise, mentor, and train a high-performing team of engineers, technicians, and plant operators.
- Collaborate with environmental consultancy units to minimize emissions, manage industrial waste, and execute effective pollution control measures.
- Coordinate seamlessly with petroleum marketing and haulage divisions to guarantee timely and efficient product distribution.
- Align refinery output with marine transport and logistics services to facilitate smooth domestic and international supply chains.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators including throughput, yield, operational downtime, and cost efficiency.
- Drive innovation by championing the adoption of cleaner technologies and sustainable refinery practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline (Master's degree is strongly preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in refinery operations, with at least 5 years served in a senior leadership or management capacity.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Nigerian oil and gas regulations, statutory requirements, and global refinery standards.
- Demonstrated track record in driving environmental compliance, safety management, and waste reduction initiatives.
