About the Role
BBC Media Action is a leading international development organisation committed to creating positive social change through media and communication. We work across Nigeria implementing multiplatform projects focused on health, governance, and community engagement through radio shows, dramas, and capacity-strengthening initiatives. As a Recruiter, you will play a crucial role in identifying and enlisting qualified participants for our research studies, ensuring our programmes reflect authentic local voices and experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Screen and recruit participants using established criteria to meet study requirements
- Maintain accurate recruitment records and secure participant contact information
- Ensure participant quotas are achieved across gender, age, location, and demographic categories
- Contact, brief, and confirm participant attendance for scheduled sessions
- Coordinate closely with moderators and supervisors to guarantee session attendance
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards throughout all recruitment activities
- Proven recruitment or participant sourcing experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organisational and record-keeping abilities
- Familiarity with research ethics and confidentiality protocols
- Ability to work with diverse communities across Nigeria
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages (Hausa, Pidgin English) is advantageous
