About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Group Head, Human Resources on behalf of our client, an innovative real estate development company dedicated to resolving the housing deficit in Africa. In this executive leadership role, you will spearhead the human capital strategy across multiple business units, including sales, development, construction, facility management, and corporate services, ensuring alignment with our aggressive growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies that directly support the company's multi-unit operations and talent acquisition needs.
  • Lead strategic workforce planning, talent sourcing, and onboarding for diverse teams ranging from sales executives to site construction personnel.
  • Oversee robust performance management systems, targeted learning and development programs, and effective succession planning frameworks.
  • Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations, Nigerian labour law compliance, and positive organisational culture cultivation.
  • Manage HRIS platforms, advanced HR analytics, reporting, and collaborative HR operations across the entire group.
  • Formulate and enforce modern HR policies, procedures, and standard operating frameworks to drive operational efficiency.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership during organisational restructuring, change management, and productivity enhancement initiatives.
  • Design and oversee competitive compensation and benefits structures to ensure strong market positioning and talent retention.
  • Drive innovative employee engagement initiatives aimed at strengthening workplace culture and reducing turnover.
  • Conduct regular HR audits, compliance reviews, and continuous improvement assessments across all HR processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree and relevant professional HR certifications (e.g., CIPM, HRCI, CIPD) are strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with a proven track record ideally within the real estate, construction, or related multi-site industries.
  • Comprehensive understanding of strategic HR management, current labour regulations, and organisational development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing multisite HR operations and leading high-performing, diverse human resource teams.
  • Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, negotiation, and executive stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in leveraging HRIS, HR reporting tools, and data-driven analytics for strategic decision-making.
  • Proven ability to champion culture-building initiatives, lead major change management projects, and execute employee engagement programs.
