About the Role

Newedge Finance Limited is a dynamic financial institution established in 2019 and licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to operate as a Finance Company. We provide innovative loans, investments, and financial advisory solutions to diverse clients across both private and public sectors. We are currently looking for a diligent and proactive Reconciliation Specialist to join our finance team and ensure financial accuracy across all operational touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure daily reconciliation of all financial transactions and deliver comprehensive reports to the supervisor promptly.
  • Resolve reconciliation discrepancies and transactional issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Collect offline customer repayment records, matching and reconciling them accurately with bank statements.
  • Communicate effectively with partner banks to trace and resolve unmatched customer payment details.
  • Address customer repayment inquiries professionally and provide valuable optimization suggestions to the product department.
  • Ensure accuracy of all daily settlements from payment partners, guaranteeing prompt value transfer to the company accounts.
  • Maintain strict compliance with all internal company policies, financial procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform other related financial and administrative duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a Bachelor Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 0 to 2 years of relevant work experience in financial reconciliation or accounting roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with little or no supervision while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • High level of integrity to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to thrive and maintain a positive attitude under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
