About the Role
TeamAce Limited is seeking a meticulous and experienced Chief Accountant to lead our accounting operations across the group. In this strategic role, you will ensure the accuracy of financial transactions, maintain ledger integrity, and collaborate with the Financial Controller to streamline month-end close processes while strengthening internal controls.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily accounting postings for sales, expenses, accruals, prepayments, and journals while maintaining General Ledger accuracy.
- Perform and supervise complex bank, payment gateway, clearing, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and ensure proper expense recognition, capitalization, and accounting cut-offs.
- Collaborate with internal control, tech, and data teams to automate processes and resolve audit findings.
- Support the Financial Controller with trial balance schedules, journal packs, and financial reporting.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of robust experience in accounting operations, ledger management, and reconciliations.
- Prior working experience in recognized accounting firms such as KPMG, PwC, EY, Deloitte, BDO, or Baker Tilly is mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience in high-volume transaction environments like retail, e-commerce, or distribution.
- Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, payment gateway reconciliations, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Competitive monthly gross salary ranging from N1,100,000 to N1,600,000.
