About the Role
Duplo is building the platform to power the next generation of financial services, helping companies expand financial access through our powerful banking-as-a-service API. We are looking for a detail-oriented Reconciliation and Settlements Manager to ensure the accurate, timely, and complete settlement of financial transactions across our banking partners, payment processors, and merchants. In this critical operational role, you will safeguard our financial ecosystem, minimize leakage, and drive scalable process automation.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end daily settlement processes for payouts, collections, and card acquiring, ensuring adherence to SLAs.
- Perform daily transaction reconciliation across internal systems, bank accounts, wallets, and provider statements to swiftly resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor liquidity positions across operational accounts, coordinating funding requirements with Finance and proactively escalating risks.
- Act as the primary operational contact for banking partners and payment service providers to improve settlement reliability.
- Investigate and resolve settlement incidents, maintaining comprehensive exception logs and coordinating with Engineering for system-related fixes.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly analytical reports tracking settlement accuracy, success rates, and reconciliation completion.
- Ensure all operations comply with internal controls and Nigerian regulatory requirements.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in settlement, reconciliation, payment operations, or treasury within the fintech or banking sector.
- Strong working knowledge of the Nigerian payments ecosystem, including NIBSS, card acquiring, wallets, and ledgers.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis; SQL knowledge and BI tool experience are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to build scalable operational processes, manage stakeholder relationships, and lead high-performing teams.
