We are currently inviting applications from suitably qualified and dynamic scholars for the position of Reader in Political Science to join our vibrant academic community in Nigeria.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Reader in Political Science, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic landscape of the university. Your core duties will include:
- Delivering engaging and high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Political Science.
- Conducting impactful, peer-reviewed research and publishing in reputable national and international journals.
- Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate student research theses and dissertations.
- Mentoring junior academic staff and contributing to curriculum development and departmental growth.
- Participating actively in university committees, academic boards, and community service initiatives.
Candidates applying for this esteemed academic position must meet the following rigorous criteria:
- Must hold a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Political Science from a recognized and accredited university.
- Possess a minimum of seven (7) years of post-PhD teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Must have served as a Senior Lecturer for at least two (2) years prior to this application.
- Demonstrate a strong publication record with a minimum of twenty (20) scholarly publications in reputable outlets.
- Exemplify high moral and ethical standards in alignment with the values of the institution.
