About the Role
Fountain University, established by the Nasrul-Lahi-Il-Fatih Society of Nigeria (NASFAT), invites applications for the position of Reader in Medical Laboratory Science. As a Reader, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our institutional research output, mentoring students, and delivering high-quality instruction within a dynamic academic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Medical Laboratory Science to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish extensively in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute significantly to the academic field.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects and dissertations.
- Provide academic counseling and mentorship to students to ensure holistic development.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and university committees.
- Engage in community service and institutional advancement initiatives aligned with the university core values.
- Must possess a PhD in Medical Laboratory Science or a closely related relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of post-PhD academic teaching and research experience in a recognized tertiary institution.
- Must have a robust portfolio of at least 20 academic publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Must have served as a Senior Lecturer for a minimum of 2 years.
